Risk Grand Prix 2025 Finals – Week 1 Recap (River Town Advanced)#
The Finals kicked off with a brutal twist: same map, same settings, and one goal—don’t be last. Every 48 hours, the slowest player was eliminated. For the entire first week, nothing changed: same AI, same chaos, same pressure.
We opened on River Town [Advanced], with a fast-paced Capitals Conquest format. You vs. five bots. One capital needs to fall. But with True Random dice and only a handful of good spawn possibilities, every second mattered.
My Performance (Week 1)#
✅ Qualified – Fastest time held through all three elimination cycles
⚠️ Margin – Only 0.90 seconds separated me from elimination in the final cut
🎯 Victory Time – 00:57.49

Speedrun Breakdown#
This round was hard. It felt impossible at times to go under a minute—until I did. My 57.49 second run happened early, and truthfully, it felt like a fluke.
The actual grind? Restarting again and again, aiming to spawn 5th or 6th, and praying the bots placed their capitals close together. That was the real meta. And even then, you had to skip turns, stack smart, and roll well.
Most of my strategy boiled down to:
- Skipping the first few turns until round 3
- Stacking armies near potential cap zones
- Hoping for that one magical chain of events
Some players tried taking early bonuses or chaining multiple—but for me, nothing topped that early Day 1 miracle run. I never replicated it. But in this format, you don’t have to be perfect every time.
You just have to be lucky once.
And it turns out I was luckier than Zango, Arco, and KoningSpook.

Week 1 Reflections#
This wasn’t just a test of speed. It was a test of patience, of mindset. Round after round, the Discord was full of players second-guessing their luck, their cap rolls, their spawns.
“I had a 1:01 but lost a 6v2.”
“I don’t think I can go any faster.”
“Is sub-45 even possible?”
The pressure was real. And now? Only the fast players remain.
Looking at the gap between my time and the top 4, I don’t expect to go much further. But then again—I said that before.
And look at me now.
Key Takeaways from Finals Week 1#
✅ Sub-minute is mandatory – Anything over was an auto-elim
✅ Consistency over perfection – Better to have a safe time early than to gamble late
✅ True Random is unforgiving – You need skill and luck
✅ You only need to be lucky once – That’s all it takes to survive
Looking Ahead: Week 2#
The first week is behind us. A fresh map, new settings, and a clean slate await.
Let’s see if I can ride this momentum into something more.
Let’s go.
