Risk Grand Prix 2025 – Round 3 (Canada – Secret Missions)#

Week 3 of the Risk Grand Prix took a turn into the shadows. Instead of conquering the map, the objective this time was to complete a secret mission, fast. With the map set to Canada and the mode switched to Secret Missions, speedrunners had a new challenge: skip continents, focus on the objective, and eliminate their target as quickly as possible.

Final Results#

⚡ Best Time: 28.21 seconds
❌ Qualification: DNQ – just missed

I submitted two runs this round using the Assassin strategy. One came close to qualifying. One nearly did it. Neither made it.

Submission 1 – I'm a Ninja at Speedrunning Risk#

Speedrun Breakdown#

This was my first strong attempt of the week. I re-queued games until I found a favorable assassin mission—then rushed the target with no distractions. No continent capturing, no backup plans—just a direct blitz to finish the objective.

The run clocked in at around 42 seconds. Not bad, but I knew it could be faster.

Result#

DNQ. A solid attempt, but I’d need to go faster to stand a chance.

Submission 2 – 28 Seconds. That’s All It Took#

Speedrun Breakdown#

For this one, everything clicked. Good target. Good opening. Clean path. The entire run was laser-focused on eliminating my assigned player, and I finished in just 28.21 seconds.

At the time, I was convinced it would qualify. But just before the deadline, someone posted a faster run.

Result#

DNQ. A sub-30 time wasn’t enough this week.

Key Takeaways from Round 3#

âś… Secret Missions make for short, intense speedruns
âś… Assassin runs are viable, but luck-dependent
✅ 28 seconds isn’t safe unless it’s perfect
✅ Someone’s always going to be faster—plan for that

Looking Ahead#

This round stung. I thought I had it, but I got edged out at the last second. Still, breaking the 30-second barrier was a huge milestone, and I’m dialing in my strategy with every attempt.

Round 4 is up next—and I’ll be ready.
