Zombie World Championship 2025 – Round 2 (Turkey, Fog, Portals)#
Round 2 of the Zombie World Championship 2025 took us to the Turkey map under full Zombie Apocalypse rules: progressive cards, unstable portals, fog of war, and no alliances. This time, I played a patient, calculated game—focusing on stack distribution, movement deception, and avoiding the portals that attract zombies.

Game Breakdown#
Opening – Stack Placement and Patience#
I entered this match with a clear plan: five stacks, spread out, and passive play. The goal was to stay hidden, avoid portals (since zombies are drawn to them), and keep my lines unpredictable. Fog of war made memory and deduction essential—screenshots and mental notes helped track enemy positions.
Mid-Game – Zombie Pressure and Player Collapses#
As the zombies expanded, players who stacked on portals or overexposed themselves quickly lost ground. I kept my stacks away from danger, letting others take risks. When yellow collapsed and pink overextended, I resisted the urge to rush for kills, instead maintaining strong, distributed stacks.
Endgame – Seizing the Win#
With most players weakened by zombies and failed attacks, I was able to capitalize on pink’s misstep and purple’s hiding spot. Using portals for vision, I tracked down the remaining opponents, secured the final kills, and swept the board for a confident win.
Final Thoughts & Lessons Learned#
- Stack distribution and patience win zombie games.
- Avoid portals unless you need vision or mobility.
- Use fog and memory to track enemy movement.
- Wait for others to make mistakes, then strike.
This was one of my best performances in Zombie Apocalypse mode—proof that discipline and positioning can outlast aggression. What would you have done differently? Let me know in the comments!
